Covid-19 Health + Safety


I’ll try to keep this short but it is very important to me that you know what will happen for your appointment.

Guidance is constantly changing and I will update this page as soon as information becomes available.


        Before your treatment I will...

  • Wash my hands or use hand sanitiser upon arrival and again before I start your treatment and afterwards.

  • Follow guidelines on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) . 

  • Disinfect non-porous materials e.g. massage couch.

  • Wash porous materials e.g. sheets, and towels.

  • Replace couch roll and other disposable materials if used.

  • Change my clothes if needed.

  • Wear durable, disposable gloves when cleaning equipment.

  • Maintain social distancing before and after the treatment.

  • Take my temperature the morning of the treatment to check if it is normal. If it is higher than usual I will reschedule your appointment.

        I will ask you to...

  • ​ Complete a short COVID-19 consultation form, which is included in the main consultation form.

  • Contact me and re-schedule if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, or if any person in your household is self-isolating.

  • Ventilate the treatment space before I arrive, by opening a window or door.

  • As pregnancy is listed as a moderate vulnerable risk, the treatment is perfectly fine to go ahead but I must ask you to seek permission from your midwife or GP to confirm that it is ok for you to have a treatment.

  • Check your temperature the morning of your treatment, if it is higher than normal your appointment will have to be rescheduled.

       At your treatment:

  • Ensure other members of your household are in another area of your house.

  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser when I arrive.

  • I bring everything I need with me apart from pillows for pregnancy massage, I kindly ask that we use 3 or 4 of yours and I must ask that the pillowcases are freshly washed before your treatment.

  • I am bringing as little as possible to your treatment to avoid cross contamination which means I will not provide music or my aromatherapy diffuser (as much as I would love to!) However, you can play your favourite relaxing music and use your diffuser or a candle.

  • Pay by bank transfer the day of your appointment (payment details will be provided).


I will not be wearing gloves during your treatment as research from the WHO suggests that thorough hand washing, and abstaining from face touching are more effective outside of a clinical setting. Also, I use my forearms and elbows mostly when massaging!

If you do book, please don’t speed read any of my reminder emails, they will include vital health and safety information keeping you safe and up to date on protocols.

It is also vital that you understand the Test & Trace system in England. During booking I will be asking clients to confirm to their details being shared with the Test & Trace team if required.


If you, or anyone you know has tested positive for Covid 19 in the last 30 days before your appointment, please do not book an appointment and self isolate for 14 days, even if you think you feel fine.

If I discover I have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid 19, I will cancel my appointments and self isolate for 2 weeks. I will also have to contact every client I have been in contact with, should this situation ever arise, it’s important that you know this. Ours and our families health and wellbeing are my number one priority.


This is a very serious issue, and not to take the focus away but please, if you feel ill at all, it is so important that you cancel your appointment, and also if you find out you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid 19.
